EASTERN CAPE – Determination and hardwork shown by the Centane police has yielded good results. This comes after a 40-year-old Stanford Magqukela was sentenced to undergo 10 years imprisonment after he was convicted for the murder of a 30-year-old man. He was sentenced on Tuesday, 08 February 2022 by the Centane Regional Magistrate’s Court.
Allegations are that the two men had a quarrel at Centane Town on 03 March 2021. The accused fatally stabbed the victim.
A case of murder was opened at Centane police station. The accused was arrested and charged for murder.
Acting Amathole District Commissioner Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu welcomed the sentence and applauded the investigating officer for the sterling work he displayed in ensuring that justice prevailed.
