FREE STATE – On Wednesday 27 April 2022 members of Mangaung Metro Tactical Response Team followed up on information and arrested a 27-year-old African male for dealing in drugs and being in the Republic of South Africa without proper documents allowing him to be in the country. The team received information and visited a house in Freedom Square, Mangaung.
The police arrived at the house, introduced themselves and the purpose of their visit. The search started and three-hundred-and-four (304) full; four (4) halves and one (1) quarter of mandrax tablets as well as three (3) small zipper plastic bags containing Chrystal Meth were found inside the house. The suspect explained to the police that he was in the Republic of South Africa illegally. The drugs found in the house were seized and the 27-year-old male arrested.
A case of Dealing in drugs and arrest of illegal immigrant was opened at Kopanong Police Station. The suspect will appear in Bloemfontein Magistrate Court on Friday 29 April 2022.
