NORTHERN CAPE – The Hawks Serious Corruption Investigation team arrested two suspects, 53- years-old, Godfrey Moncho and 65-years-old Charles Heynes for fraud, on Monday, 06 June 2022.
It is alleged that between 2013 and 2014, Northern Cape Department of Health awarded contracts to the companies on which owners were related. The business entities failed to disclose their interest and the relationship with other companies when they submitted their bid documents.
Both suspects assisted in sourcing cover quotations even though, they were not employed in the department‘s supply chain unit.
Both suspects appeared before Kimberley Magistrate court on Monday, 06 June 2022, and were granted bail of R2000-00 each. The matter is postponed to, 07 June 2022.
