16 Days of Activism awareness campaign conducted in rural and farming communities: Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM – The crime prevention soft approach on 16 Days of activism against women and children was taken to rural areas spreading the gospel on gender-based violence by women and men in blue attached to community outreach, Social Crime Prevention.
The teams drove to rural areas visiting farms educating, creating awareness and distributing pamphlets on GBV. The rural stations situated on farms such as Roadside ensured that farm community get the message on domestic violence, Rape and abuse of women and children. On farms, police also attended to complaints where women and children got abused physically.

Therefore, the spreading of government messages on gender-based violence doesn’t only ends in townships, suburbs and cities but also on farms.
