Woman arrested for murder

GQEBERHA – A 29-year-old alleged murder suspect handed herself over to Bethelsdorp police this morning, 11 August 2021, following the murder of her sister-in-law last night, 10 August 2021.

It is alleged that on abovementioned date at approximately 19:33, SAPS Bethelsdorp attended to a complaint in Tshangisa Street, Kwanoxolo. On arrival the body of Buyelwa Zidepa (49) was found with a stab wound to the collar bone. She died on the scene. According to witnesses, Zidepa and the suspect were arguing when she was attacked with a knife.

The suspect is detained on a charge of murder and will appear in the Gqeberha magistrate court on Thursday, 12 August 2021.
