Today police members from Roodepan, Kimberley and Modderivier conducted a Roadblock on the N12 at Modderivier.
The Operation started with a formal parade that was addressed by the Frances Baard District Commissioner, Maj Gen Johan Bean.
Members executed crime prevention duties in Ritchie where three vehicle check points were held in the area. Various vehicle patrols were conducted, five traffic fines issued, 214 vehicles were stopped and searched, 317 persons searched and 320 safety hints pamphlets were distributed to motorists.
Maj Gen Bean interacted with motorists and encouraged them to obey the rules of the road and comply and adhere to all Covid-19 regulations and to keep safe.
