Two suspects nabbed for robbery

DURBAN – Today at approximately 10:20, Durban Central SAPS members arrested two suspects aged 31 and 37 for robbery and possession of dangerous weapons. The two suspects are expected to appear at Durban Magistrates court tomorrow.

It is alleged that the complainant was on foot busy talking on a cellphone along Walnut in Durban. Two males snatched the cellphone and ran away.

The Durban Central members who were on static duties at the corners of Walnut road and Commercial road noticed the complainant, an African female running after two African males shouting for help. The police members swiftly gave chase to the two running suspects.

The two suspects were apprehended along Walnut Road in Durban.

The cellphones of the complainant, and a knife (okapi) was found in possession of the suspects.

The suspects were arrested for common Robbery and possession of dangerous weapons and are detained at Durban Central.
