MDANTSANE – Berlin detectives are hard at work following all possible leads that could help find the suspects involved in the armed robbery that took place in Berlin this morning.

A 51-year-old man was allegedly robbed of his belongings, undisclosed amount of cash, a bag with court files inside, laptop and cellphone at gunpoint whilst busy checking the fault underneath his Toyota Verso at LaRouchelle Street, Berlin this morning. It looked like his vehicle had a puncher.

Three suspects fled the scene in a white VW Polo.

Police have strategically intensified patrols to reduce fear of crime and enhance policing around the area as the investigation unfolds. Safety, protection and security of our people is our utmost priority.

The detectives would like to urge anyone who might be able to assist with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Vukile Goci of Berlin police station on 082 441 9690 or Crime Stop 08600 10111.
