MACLEAR – SAPS endeavours to remove illicit drugs from our streets yielded positive results when two men aged 29 year and 26 years old were arrested for possession of drugs in separate incidents in Maclear.
It is alleged that on Monday, 24 May 2021 at about 15:40 an Elliot K9 member, his patrol dog and Crime Intelligence members followed up information on drugs in Maclear. An operation was conducted which led to the arrest of the suspect. Seven (07) small plastic bags containing crystal meth (tik) were found in the pocket of the trousers of the suspect. He was arrested for dealing in drugs.
In another unrelated incident Maclear Crime Prevention Unit followed up on positive information at Pola Park where a 26 year old suspect was arrested with 24 straws of tik and 11 mandrax tablets.
The arrested suspects are expected to appear in court during the week.
