DURBAN – A 45-year-old man is set to appear today before the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court for dealing in drugs and contravening the Immigration Act. The Provincial Organized Crime and Narcotics Unit arrested the suspect yesterday, 27 July 2021 in Pinetown.
Police conducted an intelligence driven operation in Pinetown and proceeded to the suspect’s residence on Radwin Street, Cowles Hill in Pinetown. A warrant of arrest was obtained from court before police made their way to the identified house.
During the search, police found 80 loops of cocaine with a street value of R40 000-00. The suspect was placed under arrest for dealing in drugs. Investigations have revealed that the suspect has been in the country illegally since 2014.
