Six suspects arrested for alleged possession of dagga

NORTHERN CAPE – Six suspects aged between 27 and 39 are expected to appear before Kimberley Magistrate court on Monday, 26 July 2021 facing charges of illegal possession of dagga.

The suspects were arrested on Saturday, 24 July 2021 by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation in Kimberley whilst they were performing crime prevention duties.

The team noticed a suspicious vehicle and it was immediately stopped. Upon searching the vehicle, nine plastic bags full of dagga with an estimated street value of R303 000-00 was confiscated. The vehicle was found to have been positively stolen.
