During a two day operation led by the Acting District Detective Commander, Colonel Errol Fortuin many sought suspects were apprehended and arrested as well as property recovered in the Chris Hani District.

Successes included:

* 83 Suspects arrested,

* 11 Warrant of arrest executed,

* 3 Warnings for court issued,

* 2 Arrests for Business Burglary by means of fingerprint linkages, and

* 2 Subpoenas served.

Property recovered:

* Motolwana – Possession of an unlisenced firearm- two pistols and live ammunition seized,

* Lady Frere – Possession of suspected stolen property:

– 1 x flat screen T.V set,

– 1 x DSTV decoder,

– 1 pair of shoes

(Value: R4600.00)

* Theft of a cellphone – 1 cellphone (value: R1500.00)

* Burglary Business – 2 x rolls of fencing wire (value: R2000.00).

The Acting District Commissioner of Chris Hani District, Brigadier Phumla Mavuka applauded the successes achieved by the district detectives and welcomed the good arrests made.
