MTHATHA – Eastern Cape SAPS Senior Management, together with stakeholders, welcomed Minister of Communications, Ms. Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams and Eastern Cape Premier, Mr. Oscar Mabuyane at the SAPS District Offices in Mthatha today, 16 July 2021.
Acting OR Tambo District Commissioner, Brigadier Ntandane welcomed the entourage in the district, and emphasised the SAPS’ commitment to ensure safety and stability in the district. He presented multi-disciplinary operations that are taking place around OR Tambo in maintaining order in the vicinity.
The entourage is expected to lead a community awareness drive against looting and vandalism in OR Tambo District. The drive is planned to take form of motorcade compromising stakeholders from security cluster, business, religious leaders and taxi industry.
