Provincial Head of Crime Prevention engages with K9 Units and Flying Squad

BCM DISTRICT COASTAL – The Provincial Head of Crime Prevention, Brigadier Malibongwe Ntsabo motivated the members of K9 Units and Flying Squad before he leaves the South African Police Service.

The mini function took place at the East London K9 unit on 17 August 2021 where he issued the certificates to the members from different K9 Units and Flying Squad areas including Mdantsane, Queenstown, East London, and King William’s Town.

Brigadier Mxolisi Mqotyana from the BCM District, Colonel Moodley from the Provincial Emergency Services, Lieutenant Colonel Yose from East London K9 Unit and the K9 Unit and Flying Squad commanders honoured the event. During his welcoming speech, Brigadier Mxolisi Mqotyana thanked the provincial head of crime prevention for always being available and for his continuous assistance.

The purpose of the event was to motivate the members on the work they are performing on the ground. He also mentioned that “to be a good police officer you need to be dedicated to your work and be disciplined. If the members didn’t learn while I was operating they’ve missed something”. He thanked all the members that are working at K9 Unit and Flying Squad and to continue improving on their response time when they are attending to the complaints.

The event was a success and the members were happy to be noticeable. Colonel Moodley thank everyone that attended the event.
