Provincial Corporate Communication utilize airwaves to combat crime throughout the province

POLOKWANE: The fight against criminal activities across the province is a priority which requires collaboration between the police and the public at large through communication mediums.

Evidently, Warrant Officer Marobo Seabela from the SAPS Limpopo Provincial Corporate Communication and Liaison attached to the Media Center made a courtesy visit at Giyani Community Radio (GCR) in the Mopani District on Wednesday 07 July 2021.

Warrant Officer Seabela was joined by the Saps Giyani Communication Officer, Warrant Officer Seth Magadzi and the duo addressed the listeners about numerous fundamental issues and incidents that needed urgent attention in the policing precinct.

They include, car-hijackings, robbery with a firearms, rapes, dangers of hitchhiking, illegal selling of alcohol, drugs, mob attacks and killings.

Members of the community were advised to establish street patrols, Community Policing Forums (CPF) and Neighborhood Watch to strengthen the fight against crime.
