POLOKWANE: Sergeant Mienkie Ramakgoakgoa from the SAPS Limpopo Provincial Corporate Communication and Liaison attached to the Media Centre maximised the community engagement through radio yesterday Tuesday, 29 June 2021.
Sergeant Ramakgoakgoa has conducted the on-air crime awareness campaign at Tshepo FM in the Mankweng policing area in Ga-Molepo village, Tshebela outside the City of Polokwane under the Capricorn District.
The objective of the campaign was to continuously share crime trends and safety hints with members of the community.
The following issues were outlined:
* How to report missing persons
* Procedure to apply for a protection order
* Gender Based Violence (GBV)
* Dangers of hitchhiking
* Public violence
* Citizen arrests and condemnation of the mob attacks and killings
* Burglary
Contact details of the SAPS Management in the precinct were also shared with the listeners before the campaign conclude.
