DUTYWA – Dutywa detectives are working hard following leads that could help find the suspects involved in a murder of a 37-year-old man in Qora Village, Dutywa.
Yesterday police were alerted to an incident and on arrival they found the body of a man inside a house. On further investigation police received information that the man was allegedly beaten up by community members as he was suspected of stealing a phone.
Circumstances surrounding the incident forms part of the investigation. A case of murder has been opened for investigation and no arrests had been made yet.
The Acting Amathole District Commissioner, Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu has condemned the incident and warned those who take the law into their hands will face the full might of the law.
