Gqeberha: The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) is seeking the assistance of the communities in tracing persons in two unrelated rape cases.
In the first case, it is alleged that on Monday 12 April 2021 at approximately 17:00 an 11-year-old girl from Gelvandale was lured from her home in Ibex Street, to a house in Fitchard Road, Gelvandale by a family member. On arriving at the house they went to a shack at the back where her family member left her. She was then raped by a man known to her. Police are looking for a person known as Warren who may be of assistance in the investigation.
In another unrelated case, it is alleged that on Thursday 08 June 2021 at approximately 21:30, the 13-year-old victim was sleeping over at a friend house in Walmer location. After going to bed, they heard noises outside and were told by the men to open the door. After a while they opened the door and one suspect forcefully remove the complainant (known to her) from the house where after she was allegedly raped. Police are looking for this person (suspect) who may be of assistance in the investigation.
