Police Minister, General Bheki Cele will on Saturday 07 August 2021, deliver the eulogy at the combined funeral service of slain SAPS members, Sergeant Mojalefa Molete and Constable Simon Ntsekeletsa.
On Monday, 26 July 2021, the two officers attended to a stock theft incident in Mareestane, however the pair failed to return back to the station and were declared missing and a search operation was conducted. On the 27th of July 2021, the charred remains of the two officers were found at the back of their burnt state vehicle in Ganyesa.
Five people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the crime.

Following the joint funeral service, the families of the slain officers will hold separate private funerals.
