Police breakthrough in elderly attack in Tsomo

TSOMO – SAPS Management has expressed appreciation at the swift breakthrough the police made as they arrested the two suspects allegedly involved in robbing, raping two elderly women and murdering one of them.

The two male suspects aged 19 were arrested on Tuesday 08/06/2021 afternoon during an operation conducted by SAPS members in the neighbouring village of Jojweni locality, Sgubudwini A/A in Tsomo.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga has reiterated her statement that the culprit should brace themselves to spend time away from the law abiding citizens into the prison. “We hunted and found them, now they must be made to find their way to the law.” said General Ntshinga

Both suspects are expected in the Tsomo Magistrate’s Court on 10/06/2021 and facing charges relating to House Robbery, Rape and Murder.
