NAMAKGALE – South African Police Service in the Limpopo Province continues to mobilize communities in the fight against crime. Today, Police conducted a crime awareness campaign at Namakgale Crossing Complex.
The purpose of the campaign was to strengthen partnership policing.
The team was led by Station Commander, Colonel Sesinyana Bila accompanied by Sector Commander, Warrant officer Ernest Nabane, DLO Warrant Officer Steven Maffa, Station Communication Officer, Sergeant Lebogang Selepe, Sector patrol members, Constable Monyela and Valoyi.
They partnered with various stakeholders, Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality Traffic officers, Taxi Association, CPF, Youth and Civilian on Patrol, Sam Rey Security Company, Flying Squad, Security Company and A-Team Security Company.
Members marched from the Police Station to Namakgale Crossing Complex.
The following topics were addressed to the community members:
• Sexual offences
• Looting
• Fraud
• Copper theft
• Housebreaking and theft
• Impersonating as police
• ATM Safety
• Police Reservists
• Community Service Centre contact numbers shared
• Gender-based violence.
• Adjusted Level 3 Disaster Management Act Regulations.
