North West SCOPA to meet Mamusa and Naledi Local Municipalities over Non-Compliance on tabling of 2018/19 Annual Reports

On Tuesday, 24 August 2021, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Standing Committee on Provincial Public Accounts (SCOPA) will hold virtual oversight meeting with Mamusa and Naledi Local Municipalities over non-compliance on the tabling of the 2018/19 Annual Report in the Legislature.

The Standing Committee has also taken a resolution to call upon all former Administrators, Municipal Managers and Consultants at Naledi Local Municipality to appear before it. All incumbents who were appointed from 2017 to date are invited to account for their period in office, respectively. This is as per Section 115 of the Constitution as well as Rule 200 of the North West Standing Rules (9th Edition as adopted on 26 March 2019.

The Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) public hearings is scheduled as follows:
