No green-lid bins recycling collection service until further notice

The City of Cape Town would like to inform residents that the Think Twice recycling collection service to households will be temporarily disrupted as the green-lid bins will not be serviced, from today, Thursday 1 July, until further notice, while contracts for the service are being finalised.

During this time, all residents who usually receive the Think Twice collections service in a green-lid bin, need to store recyclables on their property or take them to the nearest drop off site for processing. Residents will be informed as soon as the service resumes.

The following sites are in the general vicinity of the areas affected:

Welgelegen drop-off facility

Tygerdal drop-off facility

De Grendel drop-off facility

Killarney drop-off facility

Kraaifontein Integrated Waste Management Facility

See https://bit.ly/3w6WyXh for the drop-off facilities and the items that are accepted.

Alternatively visit, https://www.capetown.gov.za/general/coronavirus-updates

Every effort is being made to resume the service as soon as possible. The City regrets any inconvenience during this time.
