NORTHERN CAPE – On Sunday, 25 July 2021 at 14:45 members of Kathu Crime Prevention Group 2 namely, Sgt Ben Eiman, Constables Blythe Jantjes and Cst Beatrice Canchibato were busy patrolling the R380 when they noticed a brown Kia Picanto with a GP registration plate with 3 occupants driving very slow.
As the members got closer to the vehicle they noticed the passenger keep looking back and was busy with something.
The members stopped the vehicle and immediately the passenger door opened and the passenger threw out small white substances from the car.
Upon searching the vehicle, the members found crystal meth inside the car and outside next to the vehicle.
They arrested a 35-year-old male and charged him for possession of Crystal Meth with an estimated street value of R500-00.
The suspect will soon appear in the Kathu Magistrates court.
