DUTYWA – A quick response by police led to an arrest of four suspects aged between 19 and 35 years for dealing in drugs at Dutywa CBD last night.
The arrest comes after police acted on information they received about males that are selling drugs in the CBD. They then proceeded to their separate homes and on arrival they found three mandrax tablets, four halves and thirteen quarter of Boss tablets, twelve sachets of TIK and a plastic of loose dagga and thirteen zols of dagga. An undisclosed amount of cash was also confiscated by police. They were arrested and charged for dealing in drugs.
The suspects are due to appear at Dutywa Magistrate Court soon.
The Acting Amathole District Commissioner Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu commended the members for the job well done and is thanking the community for sharing information with SAPS in ensuring that our citizens are safe.
