DURBAN –Yesterday, the Pietermaritzburg High Court sentenced Lungani Maphumulo (26) to five terms of life imprisonment for the crimes that he had committed. This follows a killing spree during the year 2018, in places such as Ngcongangconga, Wewe, Nambithani, Chibini and other areas under the Nsuze policing precinct.
Between July and October 2018 the accused killed Nqaba Shwabede (36), Ndumiso Gabriel Mnyaka (34), Mzokuthola Nhlanhla Ngcobo (31), Sphephelo Ngcobo (27) and Zinhle Vilakazi (21) who was three months pregnant.
