Provincial Communication takes to the airwaves as part of SAPS Women’s Month activities
The Provincial Corporate Communication and Liaison through Media Center representative, Warrant Officer Marobo Seabela and Mokopane Communication Officer, Sergeant Mmadikgale Masingi hosted crime awareness campaign at Mokopane Community Radio station on Wednesday 18 August 2021.
The main objective of the campaign was to alert listeners and community at large about a series of criminal activities that are occurring in Mokopane Policing precinct.
Sergeant Masingi cautioned the listeners about a fraud syndicate which is currently utilizing cloned Standard Bank cards to purchase fuel at the various petrol stations around Mokopane.
She further encouraged everyone to participate in Community Development structures such as establishment of street committees, Community Safety Forums and Community Policing Forums (CPF’s).
Furthermore, Warrant officer Marobo Seabela discouraged the public about hitchhiking. He indicated that it is not a congenial mode of transportation for both motorists and hitchhikers because it results into abduction, rape, robbery or even murder.
Safety hints pertinent to human trafficking were highlighted by the duo as the campaign concluded.
