Community tip off landed three behind bars for possession of suspected stolen goods

GAUTENG – On Thursday 07 October 2021, police members were conducting awareness campaigns in Khutsong when they received a tip-off about suspected stolen goods hidden in a shack at Chris Hani Informal Settlement.

The information was immediately followed up and upon arrival at the said premises, the members discovered two motor bikes stripped and computers.

Three males aged between 28 and 32 years were arrested and charged with possession of suspected stolen property. Preliminary investigation revealed that the motorbikes and computers were stolen in Carletonville.

All three suspects are expected to appear before Khutsong Magistrates’ Court soon.
