Attack on two elderly women condemned

TSOMO – The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga has condemned the heartless attack and rape of two elderly women aged between 91 and 75 on Sunday night, 6th June 2021 at Sigubudwini Administative Area, in Tsomo. 

Reports suggest that the two elderly women were sleeping together when two unknown suspects entered their house through the window. It is alleged that the suspects demanded money and then started raping them.

During the incident, one of the victims managed to escape for her life to a neighbour’s homestead, whilst leaving the other inside the house where the incident took place. Police were called to the scene of crime, and on arrival they found the 91 year old outside the house already deceased. It is still not clear what weapon was used cases in the killing. However, cases of Rape and one of Murder have been registered. The motive for this incident forms part of the ongoing investigation. No arrest is made at this stage.

“We shall hunt and find them. It is better that they condition themselves to bid their families a goodbye, as the prison is waiting for them.” Lieutenant General Ntshinga remarked.
