Asserting authority of the state showcase

A collaborative quest to prevent possible looting and ensuring a safe and secure, crime-free environment, that is conducive for social and economic stability, was conducted on Monday, 19 July 2021, by the South African Police Service, South African National Defence Force, Provincial Traffic, Correctional Services and the Community in Blue at Mega City Mall, Ngaka Modiri Molema District.

A random preventative patrol was carried out with the calls for calm in North West, by the NW Premier, Job Mokgoro, and the MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari.

In his address, the Premier encouraged the Mahikeng Protection Team to continue volunteering their services in ensuring that no looting takes place in Mahikeng.

MEC Lehari thanked the team together with local residents who supported the law enforcement agencies by participating in the no-looting campaign, patrolling different premises and other sections, following the looting spree that took place in different parts of the country.
