Spaza shop robbed in Buffalo Flats, three suspects sought

BCM DISTRICT COASTAL – It is alleged that at approximately 12:30 the complainant was at his Spaza Shop in Alphen Road Buffalo Flats his two brothers arrived brought him some stock for the shop.

Whilst they were busy off-loading the stock, the complainant was alerted to someone screaming and he then look around and saw three male suspects with firearms entering the shop. They instructed the complainant to give them money while the two accomplices were guarding the front door.

They suspects noticed the complainant’s brother reversing his vehicle and they fired two shots towards the vehicle on the driver’s seat and on the left passenger door. They forced him to lie down on the ground. The suspects took cigarettes, airtime vouchers, a cellphone and packets of grandpa and fled the scene.

The brother of the owner of the shop who is 34 years of age was shot in the upper body and was taken to hospital for medical treatment. The suspects used a Blue Toyota Tazz as a getaway car with CA registration number and are unknown at this stage.

A case of business robbery and attempted Murder has been opened. The investigation is continuing and no arrest has been made.
