DURBAN – A 27-year-old man is set to appear before the KwaDukuza Magistrates’ Court tomorrow for being in unlawful possession of firearms and murder.
In the early hours of yesterday, police officers from KwaDukuza conducted an operation at Sadloko area in Doringkop searching for a suspect who was in possession of firearms. The suspect was located and found in possession of a pistol and a revolver with two rounds of ammunition.
During the investigation, it was established that the suspect was wanted for a case of murder that was committed in March 2021. It is alleged that on 28 March 2021 Bethuel Nzuzo Manganyela (38) was at a bus stop in Doringkop when he was shot by two known men who fled the scene after the incident. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
