The SAPS endeavours to detect unlicensed firearms continued to yield positive results after a team of detectives arrested a 26-year-old suspect at Ncembu A/A in Tsolo for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
It is alleged that on Saturday 05/06/2021 at about 16:00, the detective commander of SAPS Ugie and a member followed up on information at Ncembu A/A relating to the whereabouts of a wanted suspect. While searching the suspect a firearm, a magazine and two 2 live rounds were found in his possession.
He was arrested and detained. He will appear in court on Monday 07/06/2021.
