Provincial Commissioner engages with Tribal Authority

GIYANI – The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe had on Friday 30 July 2021, visited the tribal authority of Muyexe in the Giyani policing area under Mopani District.

The purpose of the visit was part of the ongoing initiative to strengthen partnership with the Traditional Authorities across the Province and to assess policing activities in the area.

The Provincial Commissioner was accompanied by the Mopani District VISPOL Commander, Brigadier Marry Mashila, the District Detective Commander, Brigadier Mashava and the SAPS Giyani Station Commander, Brigadier Serakwana.

During the engagement with the Provincial Commissioner, Ndhuna Muyexe raised concerns about the crime related challenges that they are experiencing in the area and the limited Police visibility.

In response, the Provincial Commissioner assured the tribal authority that all the issues highlighted to her, will be dealt with effectively as community safety is highly prioritized by the Police in this province.

The Provincial Commissioner’s visit was appreciated by Ndhuna Muyexe.
