POTCHEFSTROOM: Francis Radebe (38), Mosoua Ntoi (36), Tholang Libitsa (41) and Marelebohile Ramaria (26) appeared before the Rustenburg Magistrates’ Court today, for possession of unlicensed firearm. The accused were remanded in custody until their next court appearance on Monday, 19 July 2021.

The men’s court appearance stems from an incident wherein members of Rustenburg Mounted Unit spotted a suspicious Black Volkswagen Golf 4 while patrolling on Thursday, 8 July 2021 at about 12:00. The vehicle, which was parked in Boom Street, Rustenburg, was approached for a search. Upon searching the vehicle, an unlicensed firearm was found hidden under a cloth on the rear seat.
