TWEELING – Information that was followed-up by members of Tweeling SAPS led to the arrest of a woman and two men at separate houses in Mafahlaneng, Tweeling on Friday, 10 September 2021.
SAPS members led by the Station Commander Capt Malefetsane Mtholo went to one of the houses in Chris Hani section of Mafahlaneng, Tweeling at about 08:00. On arrival they searched the house and a shack. Dagga, nyaope, crystal meth and mandrax were found in the house and other dagga was found in the shack.
A male suspect aged 27 and his 32-year-old sister were arrested. The dagga including drugs with the estimated street value of about R11 470-00 were confiscated by the police.
On the same day at about 10:00 a complaint was received about a person suspected to possess illegal firearm. His house was searched where a toy gun and 23 different kinds of live ammunition comprising of R1, R5 and 9mm calibre were found and confiscated. A 21—year-old house owner was arrested.
The three suspects will be charged and are expected to appear at Frankfort Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 13 September 2021 for charges ranging from possession of drugs, possession of ammunition and common assault.
