Two suspects, a male and female will make their appearance in Harrismith Magistrates’ Court soon for dealing in drugs following their arrest on the N3 Harrismith roadblock.
On 9 August 2021 at about 17:00, a white Audi Q4 with KZN registration was stopped during a routine stop and search roadblock on the N3 Harrismith. The vehicle with two occupants, a driver and a female companion was searched in their presence. In the boot, a plastic bag was found with 1000 Mandrax weighing 1,618kg with an estimated street value of R200 000,00.
The two suspects aged 48 and 29 were arrested for dealing in drugs.
