INYIBIBA – A 23-year-old suspect was arrested for murder after the body of a 20-year-old woman was found in a cliff in Potsdam outside Mdantsane on Saturday, 31 July 2021.
Police were summoned to the scene and discovered the body of the deceased deep down in a cliff using the services of the K9 search and rescue dogs.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are not clear at this stage. Investigation continues.
The suspect appeared in the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 2 August 2021 on charges of murder.
The suspect is still in custody, the matter has been remanded to 16 August 2021 for formal bail application.
